Jan-March 2025
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As we have turned the corner on a new year, we also pause for a moment and look back on 2024 and the blessings of the Lord. I think of the revival meetings, mission’s conferences, youth camps, youth conferences and village wide crusades throughout the year that we have been blessed to be part of. We are grateful for the Pastor’s and the churches in the Caribbean region, Zimbabwe Africa and the U.S. who have partnered with us in the ministry God has entrusted to us. II Timothy 1:12 says, And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.
God has blessed in a mighty way in 2024 by using ROC as a channel by which many, many souls were saved, many pastors and believers encouraged and many churches edified through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God. To God be the glory!! As we turn our attention to the new year, we ask that you pray with us as we look forward into 2025.
THE BAPTIST BIBLE COLLEGE OF THE CARIBBEAN ISLAND OF ST. VINCENT: The remodeling and in some cases the upgrading of the property continues as we move forward with the reopening of the college in the fall of 2025. Please pray for the calling of God upon the lives of the Caribbean young people who would be attending classes this fall. We also ask that you pray for the Board of Directors and the leadership of the college as we moved closer to reopening. In preparation for the reopening of the college, the Lord has opened doors to hold youth rallies on some of the Islands in the Caribbean to keep the college in front of pastors, churches, and especially young people. The Lord has blessed these meetings with young people receiving Christ as Savior and surrendering to the will of the Lord for their lives. The pictures below are from a youth rally at Mama Cannes Baptist Church on the Island of Grenada where Michael Lambert is the Pastor. It was a great meeting and we praise the Lord for every decision that was made.
CHURCH CHAIRS- FAITH MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH ISLAND OF ANTIGUA- PASTOR CHARLES: We have been working for more than a year with this pastor and church on Antigua to raise funds to purchase church chairs. I suppose that one of the greatest needs with the Baptist Churches in the Caribbean is the desire and need for chairs. Through the years, ROC has made many shipments of chairs to the Caribbean region. The church on Antigua was able to raise money from the congregation and then ROC supporters (either individuals or churches in the States) gave for this project. ROC also used its own resources to see this project come to fruition. We are pleased to report as of this writing, we are now able to move forward and will be sending the chairs, Lord willing, this month to the Island of Antigua. The cost of the chairs and shipping has more than doubled over the last few years and we are grateful the Lord as seen fit to meet this need. The total cost for chairs and shipping came to almost $8,000 for 100 chairs. Thank you to all who gave for the project.
SUMMER MISSION TRIP: Every summer, ROC host’s mission trips to the Caribbean region. This is always a blessing to us and a thrill to see what God does both in the churches we minister to and also what God does in the lives of the mission team members, many of them travelling to the Caribbean for the first time. This year we will be on the beautiful Islands of St Kitts and Nevis. Lord willing, the team will be conducting two VBS programs, running simultaneously at Redeemed Baptist Church, Pastor Glentis Browne and Good News Baptist Church, Pastor Dean Richards. The second week, a new team will fly in and conduct a VBS program at First Baptist Church on the Island of Nevis, Pastor Oral Brandy, and also doing repair work at another church on Nevis. We do covet your prayers as we continue to prepare for these mission trips. Please pray for the salvation of souls in these meetings. Mission team from Lighthouse Baptist Church-Valdosta, Ga led by Pastor Chris Burt from the summer of 2024. Pastor and Mrs. Glentis Browne- host pastor in the summer of 2025. Pictured below: Redeemed Baptist Church- Island of St Kitts We are already scheduled to be on the Island of Grenada in the summer of 2026. If you are a pastor and are interested in taking a team to the Caribbean Island of Grenada in 2026, please contact me. I have never taken someone to the Caribbean region on a mission trip and had them return the same way they left. Mission trips change lives.
